Such a slacker!

Ripsi is 7 weeks old today and my last post was announcing her arrival, I think Im fired from this blogging stuff! Ok so now I have to gush at how amazing she is! I love everybit of being a mommy! Her fuzzy hair is starting to fill in. She is sleeping better through the night- minus the fact she is trying to make it a habit of sleeping with us, but we're working on that. She now weighs about 10lbs and 21inches and is in her 0-3mos clothes. She has fully inherited her daddy's booty since her pants are always sliding down. She is so sweet, she is all giggles and smiles its so great!

Her first Halloween was just over a week ago; she was a bear and we dressed up as hunters. It was really fun. We went out to Alamo too see her grandparents and her aunt and uncle were there with her 6month old cousin Alexander. We took the babies trick or treating around the block and needless to say Ripsi slept so well that night!

Another 1st, Ripsi had her first hockey game last Friday! She did so well! We sat with my coworkers and they passed her around like a sack of potatoes. The noise didn't faze her one bit it was so great, I think we successfully bred a hockey fan!

Finally today is our 2yr anniversary! We will get to go on our first date night alone tonight since having the baby and of course were going to a hockey game! I can't wait!

She's Here!!!

Ripsi Marie Hughes has arrived!!! She was born Tuesday September 22nd, 2009 at 3:47pm, 7.8lbs and 19.5 inches. She has the most beautiful deep blue eyes and brown fuzz. She has her daddy's feet, nose, chin, and booty or lack there of (Princess Saggy Pants is her new name!) and her mommy's mouth and round face.

Looking at the blog, the last post cracks me up! I come to terms with having an October baby and almost exactly 12hrs later labor began. I started contracting 11:30 Monday night, nothing regular so we just hung in there. Finally 6am Tuesday we arrived at the hospital. I was only at a 3 when we got there and because we live so far they allowed us to stay. Immidiately they started the pitocin and broke my water and the adventure began! She was born after a very long and very painful labor, but as I said in the last post she is so worth the wait!

We had a rocky start but she is eating like a champ now, picky but shes eating, and last night I got 6hrs of sleep its a glorious thing! I will keep you updated on her add photos soon we havent uploaded them as of yet.

Still no baby...

Today is officially 39 weeks (if we go by the mean ole doctor's due date of the 28th, instead of mine the 24th) and no end in sight. Between the morning sickness, lightening pain, back pain, hot flashes, and contractions, I'm about ready to perform an at home DIY c-section! We're trying so hard to be patient with little success. I have a pretty good feeling she will finally make her appearance in October. I guess only time will tell! She is definitely be worth the wait!

The Waiting Game

Well yesterday was exactly 37 weeks, making Ripsi full term!
Now we all just get to sit and wait! At this point Im certain Im going to be pregnant the rest of my life! Any advice on how to speed things up is welcomed, this whole patience and waiting thing is killing me! Hopefully the next post will be us showing off our new addition.

Baby Shower

The baby shower was amazing! It was so much fun! Im so greatful to all the family and friends that came out. I was so happy we had family come out from Utah and Colorado for the event. Ripsi has the best family she is going to be the best dressed little girl ever!

Yep that belly is stretchin!!! So far Im up 14lbs! Right on track now they are expecting a pound a week, lets see how that works, ice cream has never tasted so good! Im finally 7 months and entering the 3rd trimester crazy!!! I can make out and feel her legs movin around in there, so bizzar! Im actually getting nervous as its winding down, but I am excited for her to get here soon, Im getting so uncomfortable. Who knew sleeping was such a chore? Im pretty sure Dallas wants his wife back as well.

We're hoping to have one last trip before Ripsi arrives. Hopefully we can escape the 110 degrees for the much cooler Utah weather.

Unveiling the Monsters!!!

Ok so the nursery isn't complete, but its coming along! I love it! The green photographs funny, but you get the idea. The monsters are really cutesy, nothing scary. Im always on the look out for more cute ones so let me know if you spot any! We're also starting a collection of UglyDolls (the inspration to do the monster theme!) If you find any good sale let me know!

Watchin Tummy Grow!

Yep! Im Ginormous! Nope! I cant write backwards upside down.

Im almost 6months along and the belly button is slowly disappearing! Its freaking Dallas out how much I play with it. I've never seen the bottom until now; it amazes me!

We finally started the nursery! Last weekend we got the painting done after much drama and many the colors are finally set! Hopefully the next post I can show off a pictures. Until then Ill give ya a little tease, just to make you worry but I promise its super cute........ Green and pink walls with a white stripe, purple circles and (best of all...) purple MONSTERS! Yep our little girl has a monster theme room! Scared yet???

The Name Game

Well we tried to keep it a surprise (mostly because people's opinions of other names really hurt my feelers), but it didn't work out too well. The baby's name is very similar to one of our pets names so after getting them confused enough my mom caught on. Since grandma knew we decided its only fair to announce her name Ripsi Marie Hughes. We've liked this name since the early months of us dating, so it has stuck. Thats her name I hope ya like it, if not ya have 4months to get used to it.
Btw poor Ripsi will have to deal with having a cat named Rigby BRING ON THE CONFUSION!

Its a GIRL 2.0

Yay confirmed today she really is a girl. Still a VERY VERY STUBBORN girl! We had to go back to the ultrasound specialist place because the last one she wouldn't show her face. She had it buried and that was that! This time... She kept it covered with her hand! Once and a while she would give a thumbs up but keeping her face covered. So naughty. Well they poked at her enough and she moved her hand enough to see that she still looks like a demon, but everything looks good!!!
She is 21 weeks along today and I constantly feel like I swallowed a jack rabbit. When she starts kicking away my stomach just starts dancing its pretty entertaining. Thats all for now!

Eww the cottage cheesiness!

20 weeks!!!

Yay finally the half way mark! Amber had her baby last week now it feels like its going to be forever until our little Pistol gets here (promise thats not her name we're just calling her that until the ink dries on the birth certificate, then we'll tell you her real name!)

Dallas FINALLY felt her kicking, I was beyond excited! Now I don't feel like Im lying to him anymore, that and I felt horrible that my mom got to feel her move before he did. Ha and now the bad news I have cottage cheese where it was never there before WHY WHY WHY!?!? Why didn't anyone warn me this stuff happens? Hopefully it will leave when she leaves my belly.

Thats all to report for now, next week we go for one last ultrasound to confirm she's a healthy girl.

ITS A......

GIRL!!!
I have to give Dallas a big fat I told ya so on this one! I am a walking billboard for everyone of those old wivestales on how to predict the sex everyone happened to me and was screaming girl!

We went to the ultrasound yesterday and found that we have a very stubborn baby girl on the way! She is so stubborn theres still a 10% chance the tech was wrong about her gender. During the forever long ultrasound she wouldnt hardly move her legs to even give us a glimpse to see if she was a boy or girl. We also found out she is using my bladder as a pillow and whats normally her most active time of the day she wouldn't hardly budge. I tried laying in different positions and they tried shaking my tummy and pushing on it and nothing worked. She's is definitely my kid!

Plankton is also growing like crazy! The 1st ultrasound showed her 4days behind on growth, then the 2nd one showed her being only 1 day behind her due date on growth, and this last one shows her being 2 days ahead of her due date and 1 oz over what the average is. At this rate in about 2 months Im going to be having a foot hanging out of me! It does make me nervous to see if she will even fit when it comes time to deliver?!?!? Only time will tell.......

We weren't sure in the beginning if we wanted to find out or not, but now that we have decided to its killing me Im dying to know PINK or BLUE?!?!?

So reading my daily gossip, Heidi Klum is preggers again and due around the same time, now the million dollar question, who will be back in a bikini sooner??? Hehe jk Theres no hope for that fat cow! I can dream can't I? But the baby seems to have shifted today cuz I can button my size 3s again without muffin topping yay!

Well Ill let ya know next week Boy or Girl!

Another Dr. Appointment

Its been a little since I updated this and more fun has occurred. Good news we went to the doctor today and everything looks fabulous. We heard its little heart beat and the doc gave me the ok to stop taking the nasty prenatals and I can have a few flintones vitamins a day!
Now the yucky news Dallas lost his job so we're scurrying to help him find a new one ASAP. He is putting in applications every where and he's testing for Metro in a few weeks were all hoping for the best but Im not holding my breath on anything. So we will see Ill keep this updated as I can.

Yay for Baby!!!

Today was so very exciting!
We had our 2nd ultrasound this morning and everything looks healthy! For the first while plankton looked like he was just laying all cozy in a hammock, but once he realized the spotlight was on him he put on a show squirming all over the place! Dallas was excited to see resemblance all ready, they both have HUGE HEADS! I can't wait to try to push it out.......

Mini Vaca

We just got back from our little getaway to Dally's sister's wedding. So much fun! I love weddings when they aren't your own... less stress! We were fortunate to stay with another sister. Dallas spent the majority of the weekend playing with his 2yr old neice, I'm pretty sure he's gonna be a good daddy he's just a huge kid himself!
Plankton is still doing well, he/she is determined to make me sick no matter how many meds I take, but as long as the baby is healthy I'll suffer through it. 9+ weeks and going strong, as soon as we make it to March 12th, the crucial 12 weeks will be over and I can finally breathe easier.

Scary night!!!

Everything is fine and dandy in babyland. Last night around 3am we headed to the ER. A couple of bags of fluid later and some babysafe antinausea meds we can breath easy again. The doc gave the diagnosis and basically extreme morning sickness left me completely dehydrated. Dallas being the good daddy stayed with me the whole time. Baby is still healthy and Im feeling better so life is great! Time to play catch up on sleep!

Brewing Baby

Its official there is a baby brewing! Yesterday was the ultrasound. Everything looks healthy. Dallas, Aunty Mandie and Grandma Denise attended, and of course Grandma cried! Its so exciting! Baby Hughes (who just looks like Plankton) is due to make its arrival around September 29th!
